In what must be a marketing first, Warner Bros. and New Line are sponsoring a Harold and Kumar food truck to visit twelve cities in twelve days to help promote A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. Appropriately dubbed the Harold & Kumar Munchies Truck, it’ll start in Los Angeles on October 22 and, over the next 12 days, traverse the United States in their own version of the 12 Days of Christmas. The truck will, obviously, have tons of free food but also Harold & Kumar exclusives and screening passes to see the November 4 release for free.
Here’s where you come in. You can vote on which college the truck stops at in each city. Read more about it after the jump. Fans can vote in one of two ways. They can simply vote on the Harold and Kumar Facebook page or tweet a hashtag specific to the school in question (also available on the Facebook page). Votes will then be tabulated as the truck is on the road and it’ll show up to whichever of the two competing colleges gets the most votes. Best of all, the Harold and Kumar Munchies Truck isn’t limited to students. All fans, of proper age of course, can join in the festivities. Here are the matchups and dates for each city. Sat., 10/22 – Los Angeles: UCLA vs. USC Mon, 10/24- San Francisco: San Francisco State University vs. San Jose State University Tues., 10/25 – Phoenix: Arizona St. University (Main) vs. Arizona St. University (Downtown) Weds., 10/26 – Denver: University of Colorado Boulder vs. Colorado State University Thurs., 10/27 – Austin: Texas A&M vs. University of Texas Fri., 10/28 – Miami: University of Miami vs. Florida International University Sat., 10/29 – Atlanta: Georgia Tech vs. Georgia State University Mon., 10/31 – Columbus: Ohio State University vs. Columbus State Tues., 11/1 – Philadelphia: University of Philadelphia vs. Drexel University Weds., 11/2 – Baltimore: John Hopkins University vs. Towson University Thurs., 11/3 – Boston: Emerson College vs. Boston University Fri., 11/4 – New York City: Hofstra University vs. Columbia University Free food and a free movie. Sounds like a plan. The links to vote are above.
