New Images: Pedro Almodovar’s ‘The Skin I Live In’ By Russ Fischer/April 19, 2011 4:00 pm EST Pedro Almodovar’s new film, The Skin I Live In, has been picked up by Sony Classics and will play in competition at Cannes next month. The movie is definitely one of my most anticipated of the year, in part because it seems to be an excursion into new territory for the director. An adaptation of Thierry Jonque’s novel Tarantula, it is in part about the revenge a plastic surgeon (played by Antonio Banderas) seeks against the man who raped his daughter....

New Images From Pixar’s ‘Brave’ By Russ Fischer/Nov. 14, 2011 12:00 pm EST The trailer for Brave, Pixar’s next full-length animated film, will arrive tomorrow. In anticipation of that look at the film three new stills have come online. The pics show most of the film’s major characters, and reinforce the impression given off by the teaser that this might be Pixar’s most fully-realized world. Brave is Pixar’s first film with a central female protagonist, and Kelly Macdonald voices Merida, a rebellious young princess who brings trouble to her land after breaking an ancient custom....

New Poster: Christopher Nolan’s Inception By Peter Sciretta/April 28, 2010 1:42 pm EST Warner Bros has released a new poster for Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi film Inception. The poster comes from NolanFans, where it was apparently found inside the Mind Crime viral online game. Check out the full poster, in not-so-high-res after the jump. The film’s logline is “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” The rumored plot claims Inception is about entering peoples’ minds/dreams....

Additionally, there is a pretty good poster for the action movie Colombiana in which Zoe Saldana plays a character who looks a bit like Quentin Tarantino’s O-Ren Ishii filtered through the sensibilities of Luc Besson....

Initially, because of a lingering case of mash-up fatigue, I passed on watching it. But when I finally gave in I found a well-constructed, clever and occasionally funny video.
