Offers reportedly went out to Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, James McAvoy, Ian McKellen and Natalie Portman to play major roles....

Jon Chu Picked To Direct ‘G.I. Joe 2’ By Germain Lussier/Feb. 25, 2011 7:41 pm EST More late breaking news on a Friday night. Deadline is reporting that Jon Chu, whose director’s cut of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never just opened, has been chosen to direct G.I. Joe 2, the sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. As previously reported, Chu was one of the finalists along with Gary Grey and Jaume Collet-Serra, but the fact that his concert documentary is currently raking in the dough for Paramount seems to have locked up the job for him....

Movie Trailer: Enter The Void By Russ Fischer/Aug. 10, 2010 8:29 am EST This domestic trailer for Gaspar Noé’s Enter the Void is the best look yet at the colorful head trip of a movie that premiered over a year ago at Cannes. IFC picked up domestic distribution rights and will release the film on September 24. This is the company’s first major promo effort for what must be a pretty difficult sale, but the trailer does its job well....

New Image Of A Battered Ryan Gosling In ‘Only God Forgives’ By Russ Fischer/March 28, 2012 9:30 am EST Director Nicolas Winding Refn and actor Ryan Gosling are in Thailand now shooting their follow-up to the 2011 cult hit Drive. The new film is Only God Forgives, a sort of revenge Western set in Bangkok, with Kristen Scott Thomas playing a villainous matriarch. We’ve seen one image of Gosling in the film, but it was pretty much just an image of Gosling that could have been sourced from most anywhere – the background is the more interesting bit....
