First Footage From Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’

But Entertainment Tonight has done one of the show’s trademark trailer previews, and as irritating as it is to have the show’s talking heads nattering over new Tarantino footage, we’ll take it for now. Hit the jump to see the first footage from Django Unchained.

More important, we get an example of the work we can expect from Leonardo DiCaprio as villain Calvin Candie (he’s charming, and a jerk!) and Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz as the two guys who end up aligned against him. (And click the little ’expand’ box to see this in a reasonable size, as the default presentation is pretty small.)

That’s good enough for me for right now. We’ll post the real teaser when it is available, and you can always read back to the reactions to footage screened at Cannes if you like. The film opens on Christmas Day.
