‘Wrath Of The Titans’ Moves Back A Week To March 30, 2012

Deadline broke the news of the Jonathan Liebsman directed sequel moving its release date.
When we first wrote about the news of both huge films opening on the same date, I surmised that The Hunger Games would move first. But, I did say that Wrath of the Titans could potentially open at anytime and Warner Brothers probably realized that one week wasn’t that big of a deal. Already staked out on March 30, 2012 are the 3D animated film The Pirates! Band of Misfits and the Seth Rogen/Barbara Streisand comedy My Mother’s Curse. On paper, neither of those films cut into the audience of a 3D action epic, but Seth Rogen certainly shares the male demographic. The studio is probably just playing the percentages that a comedy audience is smaller than the four quadrant audience for an action epic like Hunger Games.
Why do you think Wrath of the Titans decided to move instead of The Hunger Games?
